When a car arrives at our workshops for its restoration work,it is completely stripped down
to reveal all the problems that have to be dealt with.
Each part is systematically cleaned, repaired, & painted with primer.
New body panels are fitted where necessary, all chassis sections are checked for corrosion and new steel sections are welded into place where required.
Axles, steering gear & suspension components are removed & repainted along with any chassis sections or sub frames that need to be removed.
When the body shell, floor pans, door sills & inner panels are in place, the primer coats are applied, before colour paint coats are added inside & out.
The car is then re-assembled into a rolling chassis / shell and moved into the paint shop for the final painting process.
All removable panels such as doors, bonnet, boot lid, etc. are painted separately before being fitted to the body shell.

The body components are reunited, and the painted surfaces are now polished to a high gloss finish, before the lights, glass & external chrome fittings are replaced. Carpets & trims can then be refitted.
Road wheels are painted or re-finished as required.
Please
take a few minutes to view our gallery pages where you will find many examples of the restoration work we have carried out for many satisfied customers over the years.
Bodycraft can arrange for new trims & carpets to be made to measure if required.
